Although previously there has been speculation that the two UK bingo sites would be moving to Jackpot Joy this would appear not to be the case.

The press release states that both Sun Bingo and NOTW Bingo will be leaving Tombola on 26th August this year and immediately the new platform will be available to players although they will need to register new accounts. The new platform is a “completely bespoke” platform for Sun Bingo and NOTW Bingo that is being provided by GameSys, the people behind Jackpot Joy. The press release goes on to state that although GameSys are the company who power the software for Jackpot Joy the new Sun Bingo and NOTW Bingo will NOT be on the same product.

Bingo dates back as far as the 16th century to an Italian lottery game called “Lo Guico del Lotto d’Italia.”  In the 1770s the game spread to France where it was known as “Le Lotto” and played by rich Frenchmen.  The Germans adapted the game in the 19th century but instead used it as a way to teach schoolchildren maths and spelling.
